What Is Tier 2 System of Visa Application in the UK?

The existing system of giving out visa’s to people wanting to come to UK and work here has been upgraded and now a tier system has effectively replaced the old system. One of the type or category amongst the tier system is the Tier 2 type. It is specifically meant for awarding visa’s to people who are skilled to do a specific kind of job. With the proper requirements, one can easily hope to have a decent job amongst several careers in the UK.

Recently, there has been a kind of shortage in the manpower required to carry out certain jobs in the UK. The government has effectively found out a way to resolve this. They now invite and elicit response to immigrants who specialize in a specific area and allow them to work within their country to fill up the hole in the UK ‘workforce’.

The basic criteria that the government has kept for the applicants is that they should have a minimum of fifty base points, calculated on the basis of educational qualification, industrial experience, language etc.
